APPLICATION:
Chemical reagent for laboratory, analytical and teaching purposes.
Ferric chloride is used: in metallurgy for the processing of copper and silver ores, in wastewater treatment and drinking water treatment as a coagulant, in dyeing as a mortar, used for etching PCBs, as a catalyst in the reaction of ethene with chlorine (dichloroethene is formed as an intermediate) in the process of obtaining vinyl chloride, which is a monomer for the production of PVC, as a developer for an ink sympathetic to texts written with salicylic acid.
